The Menlo Park Neighborhood Association has undertaken the development of a neighborhood plan. A neighborhood plan is a document that outlines a detailed vision, created by neighbors, for the future of our neighborhood. This Plan will have detailed goals and strategies, with the support of City staff and the Mayor and Council. As our neighborhood changes and adapts, this Plan will help guide what that looks like, when it comes to issues of housing, historical preservation, open space, transportation, development, and so much more.
This process requires a lot of public input and a whole lot of people involved!!! For this purpose, we have set up a Vecinos Initiative. Vecinos are Ambassadors that help engage surrounding neighbors and get the word out. Think Block Captains, but we like “Vecinos” better!
You are invited to a Vecinos information session on Saturday, June 26th at 10am for about an hour (location still being finalized) to learn about:
The Menlo Park Neighborhood Plan process;
Your role as our Neighborhood Ambassador; and
The Neighborhood Plan next steps
Together we protect and enhance Tucson’s Birthplace. If you can attend please contact us.
I am looking forward to our meeting,
—
