Hello Neighbors!
As we prepare to launch the planning process for the Menlo Park Neighborhood Plan, we want to hear from all our neighbors and work together to continue creating a vision that will guide our efforts.
The Menlo Park Neighborhood Plan will set the vision for Menlo Park and include the goals and policies guiding the vision and the strategies needed to implement the goals. The Neighborhood Plan will give Menlo Park an increased ability to influence development in the neighborhood in a manner that furthers the overall intent of the Plan Tucson, City of Tucson General & Sustainability Plan. The planning process requires neighborhood engagement in decision making to ensure that the resulting plan reflects the neighborhood aspirations, values, priorities, and needs.
The Menlo Park Neighborhood Plan
The purpose of the Menlo Park Neighborhood Plan is to provide guidance for the preservation of the natural, historic, cultural, and human resources of the neighborhood, while accommodating the development needs of a growing community. Recognizing that there will be continuing demands for future infill development of the Neighborhood, this Plan should also be considered as part of an ongoing process for achieving and maintaining a healthy and sustainable neighborhood. The goals and policies in the Neighborhood Plan will be used in consultation between the Menlo Park Neighborhood Association and individuals or agencies, private or public, as development occurs.
The Neighborhood Plan Public Engagement Program will ensure that the resulting Neighborhood Plan reflects the neighborhood aspirations, values, priorities, and needs. This surveys is one of the outreach components of the Public Engagement Program and, it is intended to inform outreach efforts and make sure that your needs and aspirations are included.
