Hello neighbors, wanted to get 3 timely things on your radar that you can engage with in our neighborhood and the Westside.
Save Money. Vote Smart. Celebrate Local
Save Money
Through our unique partnership with the Tucson 2030 District (we are the only neighborhood affiliated with a District anywhere in the country!), a limited number of Menlo Park households have the opportunity to receive 1:1 training, consultation, and support towards making their home more energy efficient and water efficient and cut costs to save money month to month. This is a great opportunity to work with community experts in this field.
We will be holding an Open House in the coming days where you can receive more information, understand what goes into this process, and decide if it’s something you want to participate in.
Please view the attached pdf describing the goals and initiatives of the Tucson 2030 District, and click on this link to fill out a brief information application for follow-up and to be informed of the upcoming Open House.
Please contact me and Barbara Warren at bwarre01@gmail.com with questions.
Thanks for your engagement for the sustainability of our families and our region!
Vote Smart
Two upcoming Mayoral and Ward 1 Candidate Forums!
The first this Saturday, June 22. See attached flyer. Open to public.
The second is on Wednesday, July 10. See information by clicking here –> SIGN UP to attend! This one is a speed-dating format where candidates are up close and personal with community representatives! Please REGISTER for free tickets for the various parts. These tickets are limited. If you can’t make it, the event will also be live-streamed. And there will be meet-and-greet opportunities outside of the speed-dating tables on the day. Many ways to get involved with this one.
Menlo Park is a sponsor and organizer of both so we need representation!!!
Celebrate Local
Don’t forget the Dia de San Juan Fiesta is just around the corner! Monday, June 24th at the Annex. And first, the Santa Cruz River Heritage Project Release Party will kick things off at 4:30pm at 1580 S. Santa Cruz Lane. The procession will then take place from MIssion Garden to the Annex, where the Fiesta will take place! This is a special, annual Menlo Park event, we’ll see you there.
Reach out with anything,
