It’s Arizona’s birthday tomorrow, and Valentine’s Day! Show some love to your community and neighborhood by joining our monthly Neighborhood Association meeting tomorrow, 2/14, from 6pm-7:30pm at the Pima County Housing Center (801 W. Congress St.)
Agenda attached. January Minutes attached for review as well.
A couple items of note:
1) MPNA is partnering with a graduate class from the University of Arizona to do preservation planning/historical asset mapping in Menlo Park. There will be a presentation on this at the meeting tomorrow; there will be a group of students doing some work in the neighborhood on Saturday, so if you see them around this weekend, that’s what’s going on!
2) Many members of the MPNA Board and Association are involved in efforts to ease and prevent the effects of displacement and gentrification that happen in the downtown neighborhoods area as the urban core is changing rapidly. The Barrio Neighborhood Coalition is hosting a Cafecito in Menlo Park tomorrow to allow opportunity for neighbors to share concerns and challenges. See informational flyer in English and Spanish attached.
Thanks and see you soon!
