Good afternoon- we hope that your holiday season has been refreshing and full of family and friends!
One of the pieces of feedback I’ve received is for recaps of meetings to be sent out after the previous meeting and ahead of the next one (for January is Thursday, January 10th from 6pm-7:30pm at the Pima County Housing Center), so that those who weren’t able to make the meeting can be in the loop and get ready for the next.
So here are a few items from our December meeting focused on key Transportation, Traffic, and Land Use items.
1. Attached is a brief RECAP of the items discussed at the latest MPNA meeting. A more final meeting minute draft will be sent to you ahead of January’s meeting for approving then. See the specific Call to Actions, and reply to this email and copy wendysterner@gmail.com to participate.
2. Attached is the MPNA Newsletter that has been sent out this month by mail to all Menlo Park residents. Continually expanding the reach and inclusion of the MPNA is a major 2019 goal we are intentional about.
3. Attached are the traffic counts Steve Arnquist from the Ward 1 office shared with us, and that are to be updated end of January.
4. See Maurice Destouet’s short presentation- he is the Vice President of the company that owns The Ramada Hotel [formerly the Riverpark Inn] and manages their Pueblo Gem and Mineral Show. They will be hiring staff persons for the gem show and want to hire Westside residents. Reply directly to this email with any questions or for more information. I will put you in touch.
5. Matt Perri facilitated a wonderful timeline presentation of Menlo Park Elementary School at our last meeting, as we celebrated the centennial with cake and time together. Attached is a page out of his recent “The Menlo Parker” issue with some of the pictures and memories celebrated. Thanks Matt and all who shared information, photos, and stories!
Please email me with any questions or concerns related to any of the items listed or written about.
Best,
—
