DESCRIPTION:Our next Menlo Park Neighborhood Association Meeting will be at the Menlo Park Elementary School cafeteria. \nThe proposed changes to the Menlo Park Neighborhood boundaries will be discussed. A map is attached below to illustrate where the changes are proposed. This change is proposed in partnership with Barrio Kroeger Lane Neighborhood Association who has been in close communication with MPNA for many meetings. \nHoliday Potluck \nPlease bring a dish to share. Plan to join us a little early for conversation and to share food before we begin the meeting at 6pm. (We are mindful of covid-19 rates and encourage masks when not eating. We may also need to change plans if circumstances change dramatically.) \nWe will also introduce the Sharing Table. If you have elementary school-aged children you might know about the Sharing Table already. Please bring any unused\, unopened food\, toiletries\, or gently used items you are ready to pass on. If you’ve got a few things you’ve been meaning to donate to the thrift store\, bring it to the Sharing Table first to see if a neighbor could use it. Take what you need\, leave what you don’t. As you can see from the agenda attached\, we are covering a number of important topics\, from homelessness to a new skatepark.\n\nDRAFT MPNA Agenda 4-14-22\n\nIf you are concerned about\, or have questions about\, the growing homelessness issue in Tucson and in Menlo\, this will be a meeting you want to attend to get answers and info. \n\nPer Pima County\, which ranks current COVID Risk as “Low\,” masks/social distancing will be recommended but not required at this meeting. \n\nFinally\, please put on your calendars a neighborhood workshop / taller\, on Saturday May 7 at 9:00am. This will be a neighborhood-wide\, in-depth conversation on elements of our neighborhood plan including Heritage\, Character\, Sense of Place; Housing; Transportation\, Connectivity\, Mobility; Parks\, Recreation\, Open Space\, Environment; Economic Development and more. More will be shared at tomorrow’s meeting\, but please put this on your calendar to participate!

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Picnic in Menlo Park! \nWe will be holding our Annual election\, a special drawing\, a potluck style picnic\, celebrating our Vecinos ambassadors\, and the following will be there too: \n– the Pima County REACH Program\n– Pima County Dept of Environmental Quality will be handing out bike lights and other swag\n– a Mobile Health Unit offering vaccinations to any and all comers ++++$50 gift cards to give away*\n– a Ready/Set/Rec! van will provide games for kiddos to play\n– the Planning Center will be there collecting information for the Neighborhood Plan\n– and more! \nThere may be a few MORE tables there from Pima County Health Dept for various things. \nOur goal is to spend the majority of the time together\, hanging out\, seeing old friends and neighbors\, enjoying good food\, and celebrating our work together in the neighborhood! \n\nIf you are able to bring a food or drink item\, please email wendysterner@gmail.com to coordinate!\n\n*Gift card details\nThe gift cards are regular Visa gift cards that can be used anywhere gift cards are accepted. Cards are available to 12 years of age and up\, but anyone under 18 years of age would need a parent or guardian to sign for receipt of the card.  Avaialable to those getting their 1st\, 2nd and boosters vaccines. The information we collect is basic; address\, zip code\, what dose and what vaccine they received and signature saying they understand that the gift card cannot be used or traded for prohibited items. We have 50 $50 gift cards to give away.

DESCRIPTION:Join your Menlo Park neighbors and help beautify the park! We will be picking-up trash and trimming shrubs on the west-end of Menlo Park’s park on Saturday\, January 29 from 9am-11am. \nTucson Clean and Beautiful will be providing the equipment\, but feel free to bring your own gloves\, water etc. (with your name on it). We will meet at the western part of the park and focus on that area along with the alleyways that lead to the park\, but folks can also focus on an area of their choice (we’ll have a table set-up so you’ll be able to spot us there). \nPlease RSVP by emailing Andrew Stocker
